Outliers

The Outliers is a documentary project by Laz and me. Two designers by trade, riders by instinct, storytellers by stubbornness. Two bikes, and a long-running question about what motorcycles make possible between people.

The method is not sophisticated. Ride somewhere. Talk to whoever's there. Point the camera at what you'd want to remember. We go looking for makers, artists, musicians, and builders, and it turns out a motorcycle is the best icebreaker ever invented: nobody asks what you do for a living when they want to know what you're riding.

We're building a home for it: an editorial site where the rides, the portraits, and the conversations live as a growing field journal. It isn't live yet, and it's the part I'm most excited about. A place where the project can breathe instead of getting scrolled past.
